CUSTOMS AGENTS

WE HAVE COMPLETED MORE THAN 1,000,000 CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS FOR THE IMPORT AND EXPORT OF GOODS. OUR HIGH DEGREE OF SPECIALISATION ALLOWS US TO COMPLETE PAPERWORK FOR OUR CLIENTS IN A VERY SHORT SPACE OF TIME
We have extensive knowledge of customs legislation and real experience dealing with customs offices on the ground. Thanks to our structure and specialisation, we are able to process declarations with any customs office in Spain.

Our proactive approach characterises and differentiates us. It is very clear to us, at all of our offices, that the customs procedures are a very important part of the supply chain. In order to perfect the process, we get ahead by conducting a preliminary study of the goods, as well as of the applicable legislation, health services, pharmacy, and phyto considerations, amongst others, that may arise. These considerations allow us to save critical time and optimise the process from a financial and logistical point of view.

WE ARE
AN AUTHORISED
ECONOMIC
OPERATOR

The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) is a status that is granted in Spain by the AEAT, the State’s Tax Administration Agency, to certify that companies in the sector are professionally capable of performing their functions.
Beforehand, the AEAT undertakes a comprehensive review of: the internal working procedures, the financial-economic capacity and the degree of compliance with the customs and tax legislation. All of this is performed not only with respect to our company, but also with respect to our shareholders and other partners.
Since 3 April 2012, Tracosa has been recognised as an Authorised Economic Operator, offering our clients several advantages when it comes to processing their import and export declarations.

As an Authorised Economic Operator, we offer different, unusual, services to our clients, which may be useful when they want to carry out certain activities:

  • Customs warehouse (DA). Space used for the storage of goods imported from outside of the European Union where no taxes are collected.
  • Inward processing arrangement (IPA). An arrangement that does not require the payment of tariffs or VAT, which allows the entry of goods from third party countries to be processed in operations.
  • Outward processing relief (OPR). A regime that allows EU goods to be processed by being exported outside of the European Union with the exemption of taxes.
  • Processing regime under customs’ control. A system that allows goods not belonging to the European Community, without import rights or trade policies, to be imported into the customs territory.
  • Special destination customs regime. A regime that allows for the payment of tariffs on specific goods only.
  • Temporary import. A regime that allows goods to enter a country for a limited period of time for their subsequent reshipment overseas.
  • Binding tariff information (BTI). Guarantees the correct tariff classifications for goods.
  • Authorised exporter status. Invoice declaration for regular exporters.
